Yes, it's true. The fact is that Guns N' Roses was supposed to be a band, which means work together, everyone coming with something, then put it alltogether and see what's the result. In Guns N' Roses case, this was available only till Illusions (not even all the songs from Illusions). Then, if Axl had made the compromise, the band would have been as Slash wanted- Slash doing everything, bringing only the songs he composed and he wanted on the album, and Axl should have stayed, of course, but only on the position of hired vocalist. Axl was never only the voice in this band, he did a lot, more than anyone else, I've aleays said that. 70% was Axl, 30% the rest(shared more between Izzy and Slash)

haha that reminds me of my arguments about slush with Farid back in ... 2007?? When he registered on cd.com I called him an amateurish dunno if that is the right translation for "aficionado" hahaha and i pissed him off! he went nuts ;D But it was a funny fight, not like the one that takes place on mygnr between Axlits and Slashits. Anyway, during that "fight" we got the words slush (i can't remember who came up with that) and $la$h that i invented to Farid and Eusis off

ha ha $la$h. Well....I agree I know that regarding Slash, fame and even money seem to count more. He is double faced, manipulative and likes to pose in the victim of it all. I appreciate (and always will) him as guitarist, being my favourite guitarist of all time, but separating the genius from the person, it's a huge abyss, unfortunately. He bashed Axl and put on his shoulders all the guilt for more than 10 years, constantly, while Axl dissappeared from the public eye, saying absolutely nothing. That's not a way to fight correctly. It's obvious why a lot of people complain about how Axl destroyed the band and how Axl was a dictator with Slash, Duff, Izzy, Steven, Matt and the rest, cause Axl didn't defend himself. The only thing people were updated all those years with were Slash's statements only. Axl's dissappearance the years after 1994 just made him look like he felt guilty in the people's eyes. No one seems to see beyond the surface. really no one, and it's intriguing for me how many close minded, blind,, deaf and idiotic people exist on this earth. How can you goddamn blame a person when you fucking don't have a clue about what happened between them? can we open a thread about old Guns N' Roses and separation? Not a "I want a reunion" one, it's not the case here, we're not mygnr.com, but...goddamnit how many things I'd have to say about this. I think we all would.

I think it was the classic frenemy statement full of ulterior motives. I made some people on another website VERY UPSET! He forgets to add in this interview that he always hated the song. Hi Annie. Welcome to our site

he took advantage of Axl's silence to spread his bullshit Exactly, he´s been doing it for years. And, up to this point, if he ever were sincere I would never distinguish it nor believe it. He´´s done this so many times before that it all sounds like the shepherd and the wolf tale.

yeah i've been thinking last night ... it happens to me sometimes And i came to the conclusion that being a 2 faced hypocrite must be cool in this world. Not in my world, but things seem to be like that in the world outside ... People just love being fooled by someone who tells them what they want to hear. And they reject being told things that go against their will. That is the reason why, IMO, they praise $la$h and blame Axl. And that is also the reason why the evil politics succeed. Creepy

The version I had heard years ago was that the opening riff was Slash's idea of circus music to describe how the roadies setting up a stage looked like a circus act. And Axl had these words in his head about Erin Everly.
