Im not sure im giddign the whole thing, I liked I hold on, but im not hearing anything invovative or anything like that They are good songs not Epic, I want Epic from Slash, Ill wait to judge them when I actualy buy the record and hear it properly but so far im not that impressed, maybe they are like GNR songs to me that they grow on me

I can't fully understand the lyrics because of the English skills but it seems like he still think Axl is the one who ruin the old band. Am I right? Especially on this part : "A loaded gun jammed by a rose"

I'm scared of listening to them after that Paradise City thing with Fergie and what's his face.

Here it is again: (Rock Radio) Slash has denied suggestions that a line in a song from his solo album refers to his former Guns N' Roses bandmate Axl Rose. And he admits that, 14 years after their relationship broke down, Rose's difficult character is what makes him a "phenomenal" talent.

On the track Crucify the Dead, guest vocalist Ozzy Osbourne sings: "A loaded gun jammed by a rose, the thorns are not around your head, your ego cut you till you bled."

But Slash says the words were written by Osbourne and do not refer to Rose."It was an Ozzy thing. What a fuck! Does he think we're stupid?! If Ozzy wrote that and Slash didn't believed in that words he'd had said no thanks to Ozzy.
"A loaded gun jammed by a rose, the thorns are not around your head, your ego cut you till you bled," what he should have wrote to be more clear than this? Axl you're an asshole? But maybe Slash would say that that Axl is "Axel Foley" from "beberly hills cop!"

So far I only listened to Crucify The Dead. The lyrics of this song are a bit idealess, simple, nearly a bit laughable, imo. I understand nothing of it but this is my opinion. The song itself clearly aims at doing speculations or attracting attention. It works as this song gets the most publicity although it's not an extraordinary good song.

Here's a reply taken from the site. Exactly what I wanna to say about this.

Ozzy's already said he wrote the lyrics with Axl in mind. Pretty lame in my opinion, these are 2 human beings who were once friends and genuinely drifted apart and it became bitter, that¡¯s life and it happens every day. Ozzy wasnt there and doesnt know the in's and out's, and AT BEST he has one side of the story.
Slash has told out and out lies about Axl in the media when he was still on the smack, i.e "Axl refused to go on stage unless we signed over the name." Yet he tells a completely different yarn in his book about the ownership of the name, one of many alternate yarns, but the media still crucify Axl over it.
Slash has been caught out telling lies on umpteen times but it is just ignored by the media, its only since Slash got off the smack and booze he has started being complimentary about Axl when talking to the press. And Axl never, ever spoke to the press telling his side of the story, so that whole ¡°we were forced out¡± revisionist history became ingrained.
Axl might be complicated and difficult but Slash, Duff and Matt were all heroin addicts and alcoholics when they were in GNR and yet Axl is portrayed as the root of all evil and those 3 are saints and never put a foot wrong and the clean and sober Axl should have been thankful to work with them day in day out, its laughable.
The media tries to put the blame of Izzy¡¯s departure on Axl and that¡¯s not true either, because in every interview Izzy ever gave on the subject he said that once he got clean and sober, he realised he had had enough of Axls mood swings, the others drug and alcohol abuse, and the intense media pressure surrounding the band and it just wasn¡¯t what it used to be anymore.
Bottom line is these are all human beings who were once great together, 20 YEARS AGO, things change and life goes on. It was good but it was over a long time ago, let them move on as they all chose to. I¡¯m a bigger GNR fan than any hacks out there spouting their mince, trying to play the sides off one another as if there should be a division or some ***** like that. Personally I¡¯m delighted they are all alive and in good health and still making great ****** music. Axl, Izzy, Slash and Duff have all made some fantastic music since they parted all those years ago, and its regularly under valued by mindless hacks in the media pining for their youth and the days when they could fit their fat arses into their favourite faded denims without the aid of the wife, the kids, the grand kids and a king-size shoehorn!

OK, I listened to like, half of it. I was REALLY diggin' Beautiful Dangerous but then the chorus just fucked the song up. I liked Promise too. Crucify the dead is crap, IMO. The rest is OK... I'm gonna listen to the rest.
