According to Reuters, JANE'S ADDICTION has parted ways with bassist Duff McKagan (DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED, VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES) after only five months of working together. "We wanted to thank Duff for helping us write songs for our new record," the band said via email. "We love the songs we worked on with him — and the gigs were a blast — but musically we were all headed in different directions. From here Duff is off to work on his own stuff so we wish him all the best." Added JANE'S ADDICTION frontman Perry Farrell in a Twitter posting, "JANE'S wishes Duff much luck with his band LOADED. What a fun time we all had working together. Look out for his record and tour this fall." www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=145599DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED recently finished recording its new album at a Seattle-area studio with veteran rock producer Terry Date (SOUNDGARDEN, PANTERA, DEFTONES) and is currently seeking a new label home. The band parted ways with Century Media Records after releasing one EP (2008's "Wasted Heart") and one full-length album (2009's "Sick") through the label. JANE'S ADDICTION has just released its first-ever concert DVD and Blu-ray, "Live Voodoo", via Eagle Rock Entertainment.
