Axl still lives that to this day. My answer to critics who would say that Chinese Democracy is not like AFD would be "no shit, Sherlock." Because he is still living the credo of going into new directions, hell or high water.

exactly. And the prblem with people is that they will never be pleased no matter what Axl does. If he stuck to Appetite and make another Appetite, people would complain he can't make anything new on his own, and that he is frustrated by the old lineup work, keeping on the same old same old. When they released Illusions, people complained it's not Appetite, then liked the album like hell, because it was "still Guns". Now, when they released Chinese Democracy in the new line-up, people listened to it and even if a lot of them realised it's an amazing album, the situation will never ever make them appreciate it and the band as they did until 93, just because it's "New Guns N' Roses" in their minds.

If he kept on Appetite until now, people whould have said "what a frustrated". If he extended his style and band's style, people complain it's not Guns. No matter the situation, Axl will never do it right in their opinion. From me it's like fuck them, they can love it, hate it, throw bullshit, I don't care. Just goddamn love this band and always will

That's why Axl Rose is Axl Rose. And that's why people complain, because people when don't understand something, they condemn it. Axl Rose is not a singer as all the others, Guns N' Roses are not a band as all the others from the genre. That's why no one can define it and that's why they get mad; Guns N' Roses is Guns N' Roses. They made the rules, not the rules applied on them.

I don't know, it must be the wheel of life, i don't know but the fact is that people always accuse what they don't understand. Axl Rose is Axl Fucking Rose and the fact that he never gave a fuck about what people want from him made him loved by many others and that love is stronger than the enviousness the rest has against him. Yes, I know. I was always surprised by the band. When Illlusions appeared, with the whole new image, style, attitude and everything, I was impressed. I just loved Appetite and loved the Illusions era like hell. They took steps changing things that were amazing with another amazing things. They become huge, and I still can't believe when I look at concerts like The Roxy 1986 or Music Machine 1986. They were the same amazing unbelievable band but almost no one knew who Guns N' Roses were.
