yep it was incredible ,the whole show was off the hook Im a Deep Purple fan too(Highway Star one of my favorite songs ever) ,i went to the ritz show too stood in the freezing cold and the record canteen(which everyone knows from the one in a million vid and its labeled as CBGB's but it was actually next door in the record store of CBGB's) its funny cuz at that time in my life i was a music junkie and living in and out of the city i had friends that bands performed at that time and did all the clubs Roseland,Limelight,CBGB,Wetlands, Irving Plaza the whole gambit...We just where in the right place at the right time with the record canteen show it was a small group and my friend was always in and out of the place friends of friends worked there ... GNR was just another bar band from Cali and me and friends would just go to clubs to check out the sound and scene to see who had it and who didnt , kinda like what the competition was, we where all blown away by GNR at that time cuz music was in a bad way with all the glam rock they all sounded the same except GNR they got you going and they where hard raw and when the shows where over you wanted to go out and cause some chaos...OK now you guys know im old LOL ! Yeah but Axl's got a year and a half on me ! I've been rockin GNR from the beginning of their incarnation...I've seen GNR a good amount of times sometimes they do the whole show sometimes well we know what happens but it was all good !
